My phone's battery is dead. Now normally, that might not prove a problem, but now it won't turn on. And so I have to replace its battery. And so I have to look for its warranty. And so I have spent hours upon hours (this may be an exaggeration) combing through all the papers on my desk. Why oh why do I insist on keeping all my papers? I even keep math scratch papers! But then again I can't throw those away, I put too much effort into them. As if I'll even notice if they disappear, but I can't throw them away.

The only things I throw away are failed tests and quizzes.... Everything else stays.

And now for the things I have learned from scouring through this mess:

I learned that Algeb. scores depend on something, and I don't even know what that something is. For some reason my scores range from 3- or 4-point scores to over-perfects, and my understanding of the lesson doesn't reflect in these scores.

I learned that my writng does improve- I used to be horrible. Now when I say writing, I mean writing skills, and not handwriting. That, if anything, deteriorates.

I learned that I used to be brilliant at Com. Sci., before the era of programming.

I learned that I would probably have been proud of my grades had I studied.

And I learned the value of being able to throw stuff away.
