levity: (Dragonair.)
I just realised that I must be cluttering up the friends pages of whoever is unlucky enough to have me as a friend on LJ. Andaldal ko kasi. Then again, they're free to unfriend me if they like, so that shouldn't be my problem.

I think that last line just ruined the mood I wanted to set.

The thing about dreams is that they're not as perfect as they might like us to think, but they're good at seeming so anyway. I can say that because I had a dream that involved a rotting flooded dungeon in a palace, a cannon fight that seemed to take place in the 10-foot area of the Pisay pool, a road trip, a New Year's party at a grocery store, a snapshot of Fernwood Gardens (or so it seemed), the Greenwitch (not the pizza chain), Poseidon (not the movie), escalators, and a brand new Disney roller coaster.

I felt like I was in a Neil Gaiman novel. Except for the dungeon part. That felt like Charles Dickens, I don't know why.

I merely hold the scalpel ... as the
glimmering blade makes sweet
love to your flesh.

Deep red bubbles up to the surface
as it glides smoothly, effortlessly,
producing plumes of tender red
hearts that bleed so brilliantly
like blooming roses.

Let me pull back the flesh and
inspect what lies beneath ...

Organs and sinew, muscle,
intestine and the stomach
but what I search for I cannot
find ... for that I need to
split open the ribcage.

Ahh, there is my saw!

I want to peel back each rib until
it snaps, breaking off in my hand
like a wishbone.

... the saw clanks upon the floor ...

Just like making a meatloaf, I plunge
my hands deep within your body
and let my fingers root around, probing
every little red inch. The blood is
still warm ... and I giggle like a child
with a new toy.

Then the urge hits me ... the brain!
Is it grey, or is it pink! I must find out!

In the corner there waits a hammer ...
