My membership to the NatSci egroup is still pending. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. At any rate it means I can escape from having to do any work for a few more hours. I am also the luckiest person in the world. SI PATTI CRUZ PARTNER KO. How lucky can you get?

RIP Cory Aquino. She didn't know anything about the presidency. She said so herself. And in many ways her presidency was a disappointment to those who wanted the Philippines to do a 180 and earn abck its former glory. (Yes, there was a former glory.) But she meant well, and in this day and age of politicians who are either so thick they're terrible or so incompetent they're hilarious, it's enough.
