You see, first place is just a matter of judgement, like everything else is, really. We were awarded first place. That doesn't mean that we are the best section ever (I won't deny that, but then again, if you were talking about your own section, would you?), or even that we put on the best show for this year. It just means that the judges thought that our performance fit the criteria best. Put that way it doesn't sound like much of an accomplishment, but it's an accomplishment nonetheless. After all, we get the shiny trophy. If you think you put on a show as good as we did, then hooray for you and I wish I had your confidence. If you concede that we put on the best show for the year then thank you and I commend you for your humility. If you think that you deserve the one step up in Pinoy Ma'am Cion is rumored to give us, then all I can say is that we need it as much as you do.
