levityBut seriously, what kind of idiot would start a blog on the 24th of December, Christmas eve, while waiting for her parents to get ready for the Midnight Mass- and then insist upon posting that blog's anniverysary post at the exact same time as her first post?
I thought so.
Time doesn't change people- people change over time, because they don't really have a choice in the matter, because events more often than not happen in time. I guess the cliche Some things never change is true, since I'm posting here, aren't I? But most things do change, and that is illustrated by the reflecting you do during anniversaries and birthdays and the last days of the year. You can only really see how time passes when held against these special markers, these special dates.
Most things change- for instance, I know better than to start a blog on Christmas eve, just minutes before leaving the house, since now I cannot enumerate all my thoughts and all the thanks I need to give. Which is really a good thing- it is a tedious task no one needs to read. Maybe I'll start a blog on New Year's eve...
So, to make things fit in all our tight schedules, thank you for reading this, whoever you are. Be good, read a lot of books, take care, don't study, and complain as much as you like about the stupid problems you're going through, since it won't help you solve those problems but it'll make you feel better.
