snapshots of today
Sep. 12th, 2007 09:03 pmNakasulat sa Labtech/Bio. room blackboard:
"Anong importanteng mangyayari sa araw na ito?"
An arrow leads from that to:
Trish to the classroom after math:
"E kasi parang lahat sila ganoon!"
Me to Trish:
Me to Norman on the way back from the gym:
"Kung maayos natin 'to, mananalo tayo. Kung maayos natin."
Icia to me while practicing that batch dance:
"Jill, nagsindi ka ba nanaman ng posporo?"
Norman to me, after practicing the batch dance:
Me to Manu:
"The sources aren't due till the end of the week!"
Me to Airah:
"Ngayon na sila due?! Akala ko any time during the week...!"

One of the many things I learned in Pisay is that, just because you have high grades and are good at math and science doesn't mean that you are intelligent, that you are worthy of respect, that you can think well, or that you can think at all. And just because you aren't as good at math and sciences as others are, or just plain aren't as good as others are, you can still be respected for your intelligence.
Some people you respect since you share the same values and priorities. Some people you repect because, even if they think differently, they can still make their points made. Some people you respect becaue they know how to concede to your own points when necessary. And some people you just regard with awe when you manage to catch them thinking.
