levity1. I set my alarm for 2:20 AM, and then turned it off when it rang, deciding that I wanted to sleep. I woke up an hour later anyway, and it turns out kick-off was at 3:45 and not 2:45. Clearly this was a game I had to watch. Any intelligence I may have is still asleep, together with all of my common sense.
2. I will never stop being grateful for commentary in English.
3. Five minutes in and Puyol goes down, and the commentator says that he's never seen Puyol fake an injury. Seven minutes later Victor Valdes thwacks N'Doye in the head with his knee, and Copenhagen don't get a free kick. Thankfully they were both still fit enough to go on playing, and those two and a half sentences don't really give justice to all the panicking I did.
4. Naka-Carlsburg ang Copenhagen. Messi ang cute mo naka-long sleeves ka rin. Dalawa na kayo ni Pique.
5. Go David Villa go, and I'd like to know how your name is really pronounced so I don't have to give it three tries every time I say it in attempt to figure out which version sounds nicest.
6. If you thought that the first thirteen minutes would be the most exciting thirteen minutes of the game, you would be wrong. 31 minutes in, Messi scores. One minute later, Copenhagen equalises.
7. The commentary being in English means I get to pick on what the commentator is saying. The time means I don't get to remember what the commentator is saying for long enough for the nitpicking to matter.
8. He did say (and I remember this for its sheer shock value) that Guardiola didn't show much emotion during games. I wonder if Pep has an evil twin somewhere out there, watching matches and not showing any facial expressions at all. The idea might almost be as scary as the thirteen minutes of injury the game started with. Key word here is almost.
9. Time back in, here we go.

Full time is still 1-1, and I have... I don't really have complaints, to be honest. Pedro's almost-goal turning out to be a goal would have been nice, but Copenhagen were good. If you're the opponent, strangling Messi's miracles before they've come to life is a positive.
